Know Your Social Media Platform

So, you have decided to dive into the social media marketing and you are now ready to make a massive account sign up. Before doing that, do research first about the varied platforms available. It is your choice to create an account for every platform. However, it would be beneficial if you will just have a few to maintain as this will allow you to

a) save time and energy; and
b) simply focus on the ones that really work

Of all the known platforms, the following remain to take the lead of the herd.



a) Facebook - This is a social media site where family and friends get connected and have a conversation. Sharing of content is also possible here. Facebook popularized tagging people to photos, videos and statuses.

b) Google + - This functions like Facebook. It came into the scene at a much later time but it has become the biggest contender of Facebook. Better organization is provided in a Google + account. What's more Google indexes its content immediately.

c) Twitter - Need to do short and  quick updates? You can do that with a tweet. Few words plus a link to your web page can spread the word of about your new product right off the bat.

d) YouTube - This is a social sharing site where videos can be shared. Videos make very powerful means for brand promotion as most internet users today would rather watch than read to acquire all the information they need.
